In a surreal sitcom world, Dolores - a manic, over-optimistic divorcée - tries to win back her clown stepdaughter, Dorma McDormald, by purchasing the apartment building where she lives under house arrest. As Dolores and Dorma navigate their new life together, they must overcome a never-ending series of problems along the way— including strange, singing tenants, a mysterious Salesmanbaby, and the ghost of the former landlady who’s placed a curse on their building.

I ADORE DOLORES is a sitcom created by Sam Marine Borowiec, Jo Roueiheb and Emily Wilson. After writing a full season of the show, they launched a successful crowdfunding campaign and shot a half-hour proof-of-concept pilot. Filmed on a micro-budget, with a set constructed by Michael Borowiec and April Lasky, the pilot features a little bit of everything that they envisioned for the series— from musical numbers to horny puppets to a sassy talking wall.

The pilot participated in the 2018 IFP Screen Forward Lab and is currently available to stream on NoBudge2.
